What a month, because of company cost savings all across Europe I was “let go” from my reps job on Tuesday 8th December, a lot of hard work using my contacts and within a week I’d had several “chats” and a couple of interviews I landed an even better sales role.
My new job starts on Monday 11th January working as a rep covering a much smaller area, looking after Key Accounts in a slightly different market than I’m used to and selling a service not a product as I have done for the last 21 years.
Anyway, I’ve got 3 weeks of paid “gardening leave” with the use of the company car so result.
Today I went for a little spin, doing 50 miles which was cut short by a little piece of glass slashing my tyre so deeply that the tubless set up failed. Then I missed a thorn in the tyre causing the inner tube to puncture within 1 minute of starting off again, then 5 minutes later the patch came off because of the wet inner of the tyre. So problem solved I rode home, while riding today I took a few photos and posted them up in a 50 second video clip below.
